As a team of professional photographers, videographers event planners, artists & creative engineers – we love collaborating to create unique marketing & private events.  With 40+ years of experience in the industry – we’ve perfected the skills, technology & logistics involved in executing flawless events both private and commercial.

OK, HOW DO I BOOK ZIMZOOM?

It’s simple! Just get in touch with us by filling out our Inquiry Form or call  919-670-0250 so we can check the calendar and make sure that Zimzoom is available for your date. After we get a few details from you we’ll give you a quote that includes all the specifics of your event. Then all you need to do to confirm is sign our e-contract and pay the 25% retainer fee to secure your date. Full payment is due one month before your event. If you are renting the booth less than 30 days away from your event, then full payment is required at the time of reservation.

WHERE IS YOUR SERVICE AREA & DO YOU TRAVEL?

We have offices in the North Carolina Triangle / RTP Area (Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh) and Asheville, NC but good news, so our standard coverage area includes Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, RTP, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Asheville, Charlotte and all points in between.  And we LOVE to travel.  So, if you’re planning a Marketing Tour, Destination Wedding or a Corporate Event anywhere in the U.S. then reach out and we can make it happen!

HOW DOES THE GRAPHIC DESIGN WORK?

We have a creative graphic design team who will work to create the perfect design for your event.  For private events (weddings, parties etc) you can choose from one of our predesigned templates. Then We’ll customize the layout with your name, event date and other info. For Corporate events, we can brand the photo layouts pretty much anyway you like. We’ll work together to create something special just for your event!

Pro Booth FAQ

WHAT ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF PRO BOOTH EVENTS?

The Zimzoom Pro Booth is perfect for:
Weddings,  Sweet 16 Parties, Quinceaneras, Bar/ Bat Mitzvah’s, Galas, Proms, Big Celebratory Birthday Bashes,  Reunions,  etc..  Basically, anywhere you want your guests or customers to have a blast, capture lasting memories and have a branded momento to take home with them.

CAN THE PRO BOOTH BE SET UP ANYWHERE?

Pretty much.. The equipment is light, portable and easy to set up. It requires 8’x 8’ of floor space that’s out of the way of major walkways. There will be the photobooth kiosk and a 8’x 8’ backdrop set-up at the opposite end of the space. We will also need access to a power supply within 20 feet of the booth. Although it is preferable to set the booth up indoors, we can set it up in a covered outside area provided that the temperatures are reasonable on the day of your event.  However, it’s important to let your Account Manager know ASAP if you’d like us outdoors.

SO HOW DOES THE PRO BOOTH ACTUALLY WORK?

Easy as pie: Guests step-up to the touchscreen and press “start” then a countdown begins. At the end of the countdown, a flash goes off and the photo is taken. Depending on the layout, the Zimzoom Photobooth can snap 1-4 photos per session. After the session is complete, a high resolution glossy photo prints instantly for your guests to take with them. Guests can also choose sharing options (email, text, Facebook, twitter) or elect to print additional copies.

HOW MANY PEOPLE FIT IN THE PHOTO BOOTH AT ONCE?

Good news! Both the Pro Booth & LITE Booth are “Open Format” so the number of people that will fit in it can vary and depends on the size of the space provided for the booth. We’ve seen more than 15 people in the photo at once! (That’s way more than can fit in a traditional enclosed booth.) We’re also able to provide a seating and lower the booth height for more intimate portrait experience where between 1-3 people can be photographed at one time.

DO YOU INCLUDE PROPS?

Props are included in every Pro Booth Package **.  At Zimzoom we want your photos to be as beautiful & unique as your event so while we have lots of “stock” props we also want ensure that we get the right fit for your event. So, once you book your event with Zimzoom you can decide if you’d like to use some of the props from our stash: funky sunglasses, “mugshot” letter boards, chalk board speech bubbles, lips & moustaches on sticks, and more… OR we can work with you to find the perfect props that will POP for your event. Of course, you may also decide to not use props for a more clean, classic, minimalist look to your photos.

CAN I CHOOSE MY BACKDROP?

Great question! Every Pro Booth rental comes with your choice of backdrop (note: this is an add-on for Social-Lite Rentals)
We love backdrops! In fact, we have a collection of over 100 of the finest backdrops available. We really believe that the backdrop literally sets the stage for the tone of your photos. That’s why we’ve curated a collection of the finest backdrops that will suit any occasion. If you don’t see the perfect backdrop for your event, we can work together to create a custom backdrop (or scene) that fits your needs. We can also super creative and design a scene based on an idea you had in your dream. Who knows? Tell us your wild ideas and I bet we can find a way to make your vision come to life.

WILL THERE BE AN ATTENDANT AT OUR EVENT?

Why yes! Each Pro Booth includes one of our friendly and knowledgeable ZimZoom Event Pros. They’ll set everything up, make sure it all runs smoothly, and interact seamlessly with you & your guests during your event. When your event is over they’ll pack it all up and leave the space exactly as they found it.

DO YOU PROVIDE DIGITAL COPIES OF THE IMAGES AND VIDEOS?

Sure do! Both Pro Booth & LiteBooth Packages come with digital images & GIFS & the 360 Experience comes with mp4 videos.   All photos, videos, GIFS, & Boomerangs are uploaded instantly to a microsite (as long as wifi is available.)  For Pro Booths, we post an online gallery of all your high resolution Photobooth images 48 hours after your event. You can access these photos from the “galleries” page on our website. You & your guests will be able to download digital copies for free or even order additional prints for a small fee. 

ARE THE PRO BOOTH PRINTS REALLY UNLIMITED?

You betcha – as many as you can print in your rental time! ** (And the prints do come out quickly.) The prints will continue to flow for the duration of your event. The booth can print up to 800 photo strips per roll, then our friendly Zimzoom attendant will refill it and the fun can start all over again! The printer will automatically print out after each shot and allow guests to add additional prints for group shots. When you make your initial inquiry we will take the number of guests into account to make sure that everyone is satisfied and wait time is minimized. (* Now there are technical limitations, due to the time it takes to print and actually take the photos we’ve never exceeded a rate higher than 200 2×6 strips per hr. per photobooth.)

WHAT'S THE PRO BOOTH PHOTO QUALITY LIKE?

It’s amazing!  We use carefully calibrated DSLR Cameras + Pro Studio Lighting to capture gorgeous images at every event.  Then the photos are printed on our Dye Sublimation printers which produce stunning PhotoLab quality prints in just seconds.  And after your event, all the images will be provided free in our online-gallery where you and your guests can download & share the memories again and again.

360 Photo Booth FAQ

WHAT ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF 360 EXPERIENCE EVENTS?

The 360 Experience is Perfect for:  Trade-Shows, Marketing Events, Corporate Events, University Events, Weddings  Anywhere you want your guests or customers to have a blast, create amazing Videos and have a memorable experience!

CAN THE 360 PHOTO BOOTH BE SET UP ANYWHERE?

The 360 requires 10×10′ of level floor space that’s out of the way of major walkways.   The platform needs to be out of the way of any walkways.  It’s completely battery powered, so no power access is needed.  The 360 can be set up outdoors but this needs to be approved in advance.

SO HOW DOES THE 360 PHOTO BOOTH ACTUALLY WORK?

The entire experience is managed by our On-Site Production host.  Attendees (up to 4 at a time) step into an octagonal platform, then the video capture arm spins around capturing 360 video for several rotations as they become the center of the action.  As they step off the platform, the video is processed – adding a custom overlay, music and reverse / slo motion effects.  Then the video can be easily shared from the sharing station tablet or the custom microsite accessible by QR Code.

HOW MANY PEOPLE FIT ON THE 360 PLATFORM BOOTH AT ONE TIME?

The 360 platform can fit up to 4 people or max 800lbs.

DO YOU INCLUDE PROPS?

We include a set of 360 specific props PLUS as an option we can create custom CNC XL Props which are perfect for the 360 Experience!

CAN I CHOOSE MY BACKDROP?

Great question!  Every 360 rental comes with your choice of backdrop In fact, we have a collection of over 100 of the finest backdrops available.   However, for the 360 Experience, the backdrop is optional – in fact it’s often preferable to have a clear view of the celebration so the entire event is becomes the background.

WILL THERE BE AN ATTENDANT AT OUR EVENT?

Why yes! Each 360 Experience includes a Video Production host who will help guests and make sure we capture fun & stunning videos.

DO YOU PROVIDE DIGITAL COPIES OF THE VIDEOS?

Yes!  The videos are uploaded instantly to an online Gallery.  Guests can access the videos through your custom microsite + QR Code and they can also have the videos texted or emailed from the sharing station tablet.  The on-line gallery will also be available after the event so you can play, share and download whenever you desire.

WHAT GRAPHICS OR DESIGNS CAN WE PUT ON THE VIDEO OVERLAY?

The 360 Experience includes a custom overlay.  Usually this is a transparent frame with minimalist design elements around the perimeter so the video is not obstructed.

WHAT'S THE 360 PHOTO BOOTH PHOTO QUALITY LIKE?

It’s amazing!  We use highest quality capture devices along with calibrated professional lighting to produce stunning videos every time!

WHAT KINDS OF EVENTS IS LITEBOOTH GOOD FOR?

LITE-Booth Digital Selfie Booth is Perfect for:

CAN THE LITE BOOTH BE SET UP ANYWHERE?

Yes! The LiteBooth is light, portable and easy to set up. It requires 5’x 8’ of floor space that’s out of the way of major walkways. There will be the LiteBooth kiosk and a 8’x 8’ backdrop set-up at the opposite end of the space. We will also need access to a power supply within 20 feet of the booth OR we can also be fully battery powered with advance noticed.  Although it is preferable to set the booth up indoors, we can set it up in a covered outside area provided that the temperatures are reasonable on the day of your event.  However, it’s important to let us know if you’d like us outdoors.

SO HOW DOES THE LITE BOOTH ACTUALLY WORK?

Attendees step-up to the touchscreen, select whether they want a photo, GIF, Boomerang and press “start” then a countdown begins. They strike a pose while the LiteBooth captures images.  Then the guest can select filters and share via txt (sms) or email.  All media is uploaded to a branded micro-site web gallery which can also be streamed to any computer or display with a web browser.  The entire experience can be customized from start to finish – we’ll create a memorable experience!

HOW MANY PEOPLE FIT IN THE PHOTO BOOTH AT ONCE?

The LITE Booth is “Open Format” so the number of people that will fit in it can vary.  The LiteBooth is a little more “intimate” than the Pro Booth so max 6 people is ideal.

WHAT'S LITE BOOTH PHOTO QUALITY LIKE?

Superb! We use Gorgeous Ring Lighting  for awesome images.  The LITE Booth utilizes the latest iPad Pros which have excellent optics and combine with processing power to capture photo, GIFS and Video + Fun Creative Filters.
